Sustainability

Built for the long run.

An owner spends differently from a seller. Everything on this page exists because Patry still holds the building twenty years after handing over the keys.

Energy

Half a megawatt on the roofs

Solar arrays sit on buildings we own, which is the only reason the payback maths works. A developer who sells on completion has no reason to spend on a roof they will never bill against. Generation runs to about 500,000 kWh a year across the portfolio.

Transport

195 charging points, already in

Retrofitting a garage for charging is expensive and disruptive. Specifying it before the slab is poured costs a fraction. Nearly two hundred points are in across the portfolio, in buildings designed to take more as demand grows.

Land

$60M CAD to clean one site

The Davis Tannery lands have been unusable for a generation. Remediating them costs more than most developments cost in total, and it happens before a single home is sold or leased. It is the least photogenic thing this company does and the most consequential.
